DAY OF THE DISILLUSIONED
They move, sometimes seemingly walking in circles, others climbing endless staircases or towers that lead only to another staircase or another tower. They move at cross-purposes, caught up in systems and structures that merge and morph.
From beyond the scene, those who move through the day of the disillusioned are revealed as more than who they thought they were. But, in the portal that is this life of forgetting, they pass through time unaware of the wonder who they are and all they came to recollect in this, their city of confusion.
All comes clear in time, when they see they have been set free from illusion, which was the meaning all along in the day that seemed their darkest night. Joy comes in the morning. Day is always born of night.
This acrylic painting is from the All She Could Not Say series from the Spirited Life collection.
