THE GRACE OF EVERY CRASHING WAVE
Mullaghamore Painting • County Sligo, Ireland Painting
I felt the pulled to the shores of the Atlantic early on a Sunday morning. This was a complete change of plans on the last day of a life-changing trip on the narrow, winding backroads of Ireland. On the rocky shore of Mullaghmore Head on the Wild Atlantic Way in County Sligo, Ireland, I was guided to simply sit and be present to the grace of every crashing wave and to hold all the world in my heart, to include all that was unfolding within me.
It was a cacophony of change that looked and sounded like chaos. Yet, there was music in the madness, and a beauty and grace that was so poignant all I could do was to be one with it in a state of deep reverence and appreciation for the moment.
What is your essential story of life?
What is alive in you?
The Grace of Every Crashing Wave is an original Soul of Place painting from the County Sligo and Soul of Ireland collections by Virginia artist Dawn Richerson, who found joy and wonder in the heart of the Emerald Isle where she lived for three years. In the heart of the Emerald Isle I was met with mystery and miracle. The soul of Ireland spoke to my soul, and I was forever changed.
I'll meet you on the way!
