Beyond the heather, in the shadow of the valley I lay down to rest. Held by the lilac grey mountains I fell into a second world, carried on a river of dreams where, out of the crevices in the mountain face above me, came a cast of characters to remind me all the world's a stage.

So many hopes swirled inside that mountain as they came to life in me. In the heart of the Derryveagh Mountains, my heart was full although my life to many seemed, much like this landscape, vast and empty.
