Reflecting on all the journeys she had made, she stood beside the buffalo, whose spirit rose up from the Dingle lake. All the feathers blowing in the wind brought him back. The memory of the plentiful time in this country and her own was palpable—a calling, the echo of a future promise long forgotten.
In these lonely hills she walked, growing stronger with each step and knowing that she must try to remember, to relearn the ways of the ancestors and the ancient guardians of this land.
