This Heart of America / Soul of Place painting was inspired by an experience and scene at Falling Creek Park in Bedford, Virginia, and also by the story of the "Bedford Boys" during the Normandy invasion on D-Day. It is part of the Give Me Liberty! series of Bedford scenes and the Blue Ridge Blessings Collection.
