From the flames, they appeared, unrecognizable to themselves at first but equally reveling in their unexpected rebirth into the day alive. The abstract mixed media painting incorporates a snakeskin found in North Georgia.
I took it with me to a transformative month spent near the Blue Ridge Parkway in Virginia, all the while processing journeys with the Spirit of the Southwest. This mixed media painting offers an interpretation of the fire of transformation that meets us on the way.
