To say one thing would be to risk an eruption of all of it and the ruin of what was pure for her and what he held as sacred here, and so she held her tongue and sought the healing of the walks in the dark alone, where release was possible and the winds swirled to accept it all. Yet, an echo of her unspoken sentiment remained and reverberated, bouncing against the walls of her heart. She was only a shadow now.
