MOONLIGHT: ALL THAT MAY BEGIN
Under the light of the full moon, they have come together—the owl and the hawk—bringing to the forefront all they have held protected for this time. In stillness, they become the observers of the great beginning again, witnesses to what they have waited so long to see come into form in this, the world through which they walked long ago. Consider all that is being released in your life as preparation for all that may now be fully received. We begin, and we begin again, expanding radiantly from within and finding our wings.
I painted this one on the day of the 7/27/18 lunar eclipse. The painting is very connected with my recent journey to England, both in terms of the number of owls that I encountered there and also with regard to several of the places I visited in Dorset, Somerset, Wiltshire, Hampshire, and North Devon. Animals were hugely significant there, those living, those appearing to me from giant boulders and in tiny fossilized rocks, those depicted on the walls of castle ruins and churches and in both modern and ancient art.
In this time, there is an invitation into recreation. A whole new way of being is made possible by our choice to change our perspective on our lives and the world as a whole, by making a single choice to believe in goodness and turning our eyes to the light, life, and love we are made of and here to share. As we open ourselves up to the flow of life, entering into a cycle of giving and receiving that is balanced and begins with wholeness, we become one with life. More and more, we find ourselves at the still center point where all creation and recreation begins.
