Dispelling lack, she rises small but miraculously intact and making her way into what’s next. In the moment of her emergence from long trial by fire, rivers of gratitude.
She is met by hungry children, by those lost to flood and fury, famine, and by two who once had everything before the war between the states changed their way of life, severed ties.
The past so present in this day. Many voices like theirs ring throughout South, and from the wide mouth of sleepy rivers eternal cry shall find release. Comes the future and sweet peace.
